Development and implementation of an Enhanced Digitalisation Capacity action. Essential components of the Enhancing Digitalisation Capacity action are:  - Provide SME’s with a ‘Digital Transformation Action Plan’ (DTAP) - Equipping SME’s with enhanced capacity through one to one mentoring support, training and networking for Digital Transformation Action Plan implementation through increased collaboration - Identifying funding and support opportunities at local, regional and EU level 

This action plan is aimed to increase the uptake of disruptive technology solutions by SMEs in the Border Irish region to accelerate their competitiveness and innovation levels. This is key to enabling SMEs to address the twin threats of Brexit and Covid-19. The unique approach of the project is to use sophisticated digital collaboration services to better network and connect the Border region’s growing network of innovation hubs to technology providers (universities and institutes of technology) across the Border and West regions.

This action plan is aimed to recommend which specific support mechanisms must be included in the next Operational Programme that support SMEs with their Digital Transformation. This will lead towards a more digitalised and innovation led SME base driving productivity, competitiveness and resilience in our indigenous manufacturing sector and related sectors such as Agri-engineering and marine & renewables.

This action plan is formed by 3 main actions aimed to support the digital transformation of companies in Pays de la Loire: 1) Artificial Intelligence: to support companies to initiate and implement artificial intelligence uses and technologies. 2) 5x5 Digital: to create new digital projects through a design approach inspired by the 5x5 methodology from West Flanders. 3) Tourism and digital: to initiate digital experiments in the tourism sector to help tackle the COVID19 crisis consequences

Fomento San Sebastián (FSS) continues to lend its support to businesses in these traditional sectors of the city to help them move into the opportunities offered by the digital framework, and give them proper access to the knowledge and digital solutions available in the sector of companies and organisations providing digital services. To do this, adopting digital competences and skills is also absolutely essential and necessary. 

This action plan focuses on supporting the digital transformation of manufacturing and food industries, considered key sectors in South Ostrobothnia. Its aim is to strengthen the implementation of regional action programs and strategies, in particular, the Regional Strategy of South Ostrobothnia. The plan includes 3 main actions: 1) Food Living Labs connecting people; 2) MyMachine; 3) Training 4.0: XR

Innovation on Industry 4.0 for manufacturing businesses is much less likely if senior management do not have a good understanding of its benefits and consequently do not build an I4.0 strategy and undertake exploratory steps and champion such innovation. Having that understanding and capacity to is a key for resilience particularly of SME’s. Within this context, the project’s action plan in the BMW region has identified the need to develop services that can create more effective linkages between I4.0 innovation agencies/applied research centres within the higher education sector to accelerate the flow of I4.0 technology to businesses in the region.  

Provide technological knowledge (with a special focus on AI), expertise, and experimentation facilities to successfully strengthen the local economy with innovative digital technologies in the industry and public administration. 

Envisaging the new EDIH in development, this Action Plan contributes to the consolidation of this hub in the first 6 months of existence. We intend to tackle the barriers to digital transformation by learning from our Slovenian partners experience.  This plan will have 3 main activities as follows: 1. Mapping of digital and technological infrastructure of universities, companies, clusters and research institutes (based on questionnaires) 2. Meeting with the above organizations (mainly companies and clusters) with the scope to build the service delivery design 3. Promotion of EDIH, draft communication concept created  

In order to become more competitive, companies will have to invest in the qualification of human resources and in the acquisition of digital technologies. To take advantage of the opportunities provided by funding programmes, in terms of digitalisation, it is crucial to define a clear strategy to communicate the instruments available to support the digital transition of regional SMEs and to be aware of the specific areas where they need support.
