The aim of the project is to:

Improve the capacity of the Irish Crossborder Corridor area to adopt to and compete in the Information Society by developing and implementing innovative "e-services", and fostering collaborative learning and knowledge sharing.

Specific objectives are to:

The project focuses on the implementation of a limited number of pilot "e-services" which can demonstrate innovative uses of the Internet and new technologies, to public service and business users. These pilot e-services have been identified and developed by representatives of the public, retail, tourism and community sectors themselves, mainly through a series of workshops within each of the three "sub-areas" that make up the Irish Crossborder Corridor.
A key aspect of the approach is to ensure that the pilots selected for each sector and sub-area meet the economic development priorities identified by the sub-area development secretariats (NWCBRG, ICBAN and EBR) and that the pilots, approaches and know-how are shared across the entire Crossborder Corridor.

Increase the capacity of the North West of Ireland to plan for and adapt to the challenges posed by the advent of the information age. The aim of this project is to implement the Digital Economy Strategy in the North West Crossborder Region (NWCBR) and replicate the process that led to its development within the Irish Central Border Area Network (ICBAN) and East Border Regions.
