The aim of the project is to:

Donegal Digital is a public-private partnership composed by 8 organizations, companies and institutions with the vision of “Digitally literate communities co-building sustainable enterprises and societal services”. The Donegal Digital plan has three main objectives:

  • Build strong Donegal digital communities
  • Deepen the Letterkenny digital cluster

Donegal people have been waiting for the tools of the digital ages to enable them become better and faster at what they have always done instinctively, i.e. build quality, sustainable and connected communities, reflective of the county's values and culture, at home and overseas.

The Digital Action Plan informs Donegal's vision for the future development of digital technology in the county, as it does it's immediate goals.

The project currently contains 13 Actions, structured into three groups:

1. Enabling Studies: short study actions, to study the opportunity for additional longer-term actions within the plan.

2. Digital Services and Initiatives: County-wide initiatives that will develop new digital services or supports for business and the community.

3. Local Delivery: one key action, Local Digital Hubs, will maximise the digital services and initiatives in local areas in the County.
