The European Maritime Day (EMD) conference and expo is the annual and main event in which Europe’s maritime community meet to exchange knowledge, network, discuss and take joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy.

EMD 2020 is organised by the European Commission, the City of Cork and Our Ocean Wealth Summit and, this year, it will be organised on the 14th and 15th of May 2020 in Cork City Hall together with Our Ocean Wealth’ (OOW) group. This will be the first time that the event will be held in Ireland.

Agenda
The opening session will target the 'EU Maritime Policy towards 2050' and the plenary session will focus on ‘Empowering Future Ocean Leaders’.

EMD targets maritime professionals, entrepreneurs and ocean leaders, among others. The conference programme will include plenary sessions, stakeholder workshops, exhibitions and project presentations. Registration will be open on February!

SeaFest, Ireland’s national maritime festival, will take place in Cork in conjunction with the 2020 EMD conference.
