SAFER project will take part in Business2Sea / Fórum do Mar at Alfândega Congress Centre in Porto (Portugal), on the 11th, 12th and 13th November. This international event gathers different projects and businesses working in marine affairs and maritime economy. In this way, SAFER will have a dedicated booth and partners will visit the exhibition, attend workshops and interact with other organisations and stakeholders involved in the same field.

This year, the 9th edition of Business2Sea / Fórum do Mar addresses 'Conservation of the Oceans and Sustainable Use of Marine Resources' topic. According to Jose Manuel San Emeterio, Project Manager at ERNACT and SAFER Project Leader, "this international event, that is organised by our Portuguese partner Fórum Oceano, helps to position SAFER in the spotlight of transnational projects working towards a more innovative and competitive seafood industry".

Steering Committee Meeting
On the 12th of November, and included in the Business2Sea programme, SAFER partners will organise a project meeting to discuss project progress and ongoing activities. "Thanks to our Portuguese partners, we can organise our project meeting during this international event that strengthens the dynamics of strategic cooperation between all the marine economy stakeholders. It's a great chance for us to promote the work that we are carrying on SAFER as Business2Sea raises social awareness", continues SAFER Project Leader.

In the afternoon, the partnership will visit Conservas Pinhais factory, where they commercialize artisanal sardines using a complex process of production to achieve a genuine product of superior quality. Afterwards, they will return to the Alfândega Congress Centre to continue with the networking opportunites. "Business2Sea 2019 will encompass a diversified programme that includes conferences, thematic workshops, exhibition area, pitch stage for stakeholders and companies to present their products and services and B2B meetings", explain from Fórum Oceano.

Interreg Atlantic Area Annual Event
Also within the framework of the Business2Sea, the Interreg Atlantic Area Managing Authority and the Ministerio de Hacienda y Función Pública of Spain, which is holding the Presidency of the Programme for 2019, will organise the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme Annual Event on the 13th of November Alfândega Congress Centre. As part of this event, the pitching session 'Driving innovation in the Atlantic seafood sector - the SAFER project’s experience' will allow attendees to know more about the project.
