, the School of Health Care and Social Work, invites applications for the position of RDI Expert (Grant Writer) for a period of two years with a negotiable start date and a possibility of extension. The School of Health Care and Social Work’s RDI core competencies are in health care technology (e.g. robotics, simulation training, and artificial intelligence) and well-being. 

Your Role:
The Grant Writer is responsible for all phases of grant writing and project management including development of procedures, evaluation and compliance, and the coordination of grant applications. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • actively participate in the implementation of projects
  • perform internal reviews of the School’s needs and assess feasibility of obtaining external funding for project proposals
  • explore, identify, engage and acquire prospect European funding sources
  • take part in writing, editing, revising and submitting project applications
  • take part in collecting and summarising funded project outcomes and budget expenses and submitting timely reports to funding organisations

Your Qualifications:
  • professional and successful experience in grant writing for research and development, particularly in the Horizon 2020 proposals
  • expertise in the area of health care and social work 
  • experience in writing persuasive, clear and concise proposals
  • proficient in research and analysing diverse data
  • established network in the European project community
  • A Master’s degree or a Ph.D. degree is an advantage

Coming from a strong research background, you will be expected to: 
  • be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and funding goals and simultaneously manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional work style
  • have good team skills
  • have the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals
  • have the ability to create and maintain networks on an international scale with funding organisations and other partners
