11 July 2017 - DIGITAL REGIONS  project
The Core ERNACT Region, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada), has announced through Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, a partnership between the Provincial Government and Bluedrop Performance Learning, a high growth, innovative firm based in Atlantic Canada and competing globally. The objective of this agreement is to grow and develop economic activity and employment opportunities.

According to the Executive Council, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador would be supporting the efforts of Bluedrop to represent Atlantic Canada as a center of excellence in workforce technology.

"Our government is pleased to enter into an agreement-in-principle with Bluedrop and demonstrates our commitment to supporting innovation and innovative companies in the province. This current project would see the creation of up to 50 additional jobs in Atlantic Canada and is an excellent example of provinces working together as part of the Atlantic Growth Strategy to grow firms in Atlantic Canada. Bluedrop has the potential to become an anchor tenant in the region’s Atlantic Canadian technology cluster by exporting workforce technologies and solutions that are unique in the world", highlights Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA, has added that, "the Government of Canada recognizes that high growth companies like Bluedrop Performance Learning are key drivers of Canada’s economic growth and long-term prosperity. Through our Innovation and Skills Plan and the dedicated support available under the Accelerated Growth Service, we are focused on strengthening the middle class, creating jobs and driving innovation here in Atlantic Canada".
