Data4Rural aims to empower communities by equipping them with skills & knowledge to implement data-driven, inclusive, & sustainable tourism strategies

08 October 2025 - Data4Rural project

On 7th of October, ERNACT participated in the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ (KA220-VET) project Data4Rural – Digital Skills and Data Management for Sustainable Rural Tourism hosted by Foundation Homo Viator.

Running for 32 months with a total budget of €400,000, Data4Rural will focus on developing an innovative vocational education curriculum (VET) tailored to the specific needs of rural actors. The project aims to empower these communities by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement data-driven, inclusive, and sustainable tourism strategies.

During the meeting, project partners:

Reviewed the project objectives and expected outcomes
Discussed key priorities and timelines
Established roles and responsibilities
Agreed on a shared roadmap for implementation

ERNACT is pleased to contribute to this collaborative initiative, which brings together partners from across Europe to promote digital transformation in rural tourism ecosystems.
