On 27th March, ERNACT and Enterprise Ireland, as part of the Data2Sustain EDIH, hosted the "Navigating Digital Transformation: Supports for Your Business" workshop at CoLab (Letterkenny) and online. This session provided businesses, including start-ups and SMEs, with information on funding and support available to assist with digital transformation. Attendees learned about key resources such as the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) and the Enterprise Europe Network - Ireland, which offer European funding for research and innovation.

Key Highlights of the Event:
  • Mike Conroy, Director of the Data2Sustain EDIH, introduced the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) ecosystem and shared case studies of businesses that have successfully leveraged these hubs for digital transformation. He highlighted the range of support services available through Data2Sustain EDIH, including funding, training, and expert guidance to help companies adopt new technologies and enhance their competitiveness.
  • Jackie Fitzgerald, Senior Executive, DTIF, Enterprise Ireland discussed the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) Call 7, a €500 million fund from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment designed to support businesses in developing ground-breaking technologies. She explained how companies can apply for funding, the types of projects that qualify, and the long-term impact of DTIF on Ireland’s innovation landscape.
  • Brenda Hegarty, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Donegal, provided an overview of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) supports available for businesses undergoing digital transformation. She outlined how the Grow Digital Self-Assessment Tool & Voucher (up to €5,000) can help businesses assess their digital needs and implement strategic improvements to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
