Donegal Digital partners Donegal County Council and Údarás na Gaeltachta have secured funding with The Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) to develop a number of integrated measures in Buncrana and to progress the Northwest Bioeconomy Hub in Cill Ulta /Killult.

The funding has been announced by the Minister for Rural and Community Development Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys, who has informed that €21.5 million will be allocated for 27 landmark regeneration projects nationwide.

It will optimise digital connectivity and support employment and careers in rural areas.

Furthermore, The '
Cill Ulta: Northwest Bioeconomy Hub', with €196,119 funding secured by Údarás na Gaeltachta, will develop plans for this Hub that will provide state of the art facilities and create sustainable employment opportunities in the bioeconomy sectors. The Northwest Bioeconomy Hub will also support employment and careers in rural areas revitalising rural towns and villages.
