Heat recovery from municipal wastewater in Joensuu
This good practice is directed at public authorities. It is a process whose purpose is to produce energy from wastewater as bio-gas for heating up the buildings during winter time. It is innovative because the oil used for thermal drying of the sludge has been replaced by biogas from the digesters. It was produced by Regional Council of North Karelia in the region of North Karelia (FI).
