Description
The City of Derry joins forces with Donegal to help move towards a climate neutral North-West cross-border region within the EU Intelligent Cities Challenge 2.0 (ICC 2.0) initiative. This builds on the successful experience of the Intelligent City Challenge, however the focus of ICC2.0 is raising the sustainability of European cities through the implementation of Local Green Deals (LGDs) - public-private projects in sectors such as renewable energy, green mobility, sustainable buildings and construction, green tourism, and creative industries.
The North-West City Region ICC2.0 team consists of the Lead Expert Saverio Romeo and team members from ERNACT, Donegal County Council and Derry City and Strabane District Council. The team is working on establishing LGDs in sectors that are at the core of the current local authorities’ strategies. However, the shaping and success of such initiatives depends on the active participation of business and civic stakeholders.
Your Participation Is Crucial!
The crystallization and fruition of these initiatives hinge on the dynamic involvement of business and civic stakeholders. To facilitate this and to delineate the ICC 2.0 approach for the North-West City Region, we extend a cordial invitation to this workshop to all those invested in shaping a sustainable future.
Your insights, expertise, and collaborative spirit are indispensable in nurturing these green deals into reality. Let us converge, deliberate, and mould a sustainable future for the North-West City Region.
