Aim of Event To demonstrate how digitalisation can accelerate sustainable recovery and green transformation in a post-pandemic EU.

Description For a third consecutive year, the ERNACT network has been chosen by DG REGIO to host a digital transformation workshop during European Week of Regions and Cities 2022, Europe's most prestigious cohesion policy event. This year's workshop is entitled "Digital transition and cohesion policy for European cities and regions in the post-pandemic era". The workshop will be very practical, and will show examples of digital transformation pilots and best practices developed by the ERNACT network of regions and cities and its partner regions. The examples will illustrate how regions and cities are: Developing initiatives to develop the digital skills of Europe's young people Using disruptive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) to develop public services that engage young people and stimulate regional innovation ecosystems Adapting smart city models to improve energy efficiency in Europe's housing and public buildings.
