Train the Trainers –concept was a big role in Northern Periphery project REMOTE - Renewable energy training & demonstration for remote communities. It developed and implemented support mechanisms based on existing best practices renewable energy solutions adapted for remote areas and to the scale of sparsely populated areas in the NPP regions.

Main Objectives
  • Promote rural development and support the capacity development of remote communities
  • Strengthen and solidify the contacts of peripheral communities
  • Raise the awareness of the benefits of renewable energy sources and ensure energy security in the Northern Periphery area
  • Build on and expand the products and services already developed in the NPP projects
  • Provide feasible solutions for renewable energies in remote areas adapted to the scale of sparsely populated areas and communities
Main Stakeholders: home owners, communities, tourism operators, and entrepreneurs and advisory persons in the regions.
