The aim of the project was to help Finnish SMEs to focus on free from products (gluten-free, lactose-free, no allergens), find experts with industry knowledge to develop innovative products and technologies. The aim was also to find new international markets for SMEs around the Baltic Sea area.

The project would also assist the SMEs:
  • Develop food safety systems
  • Mentoring & Industry Experts
  • Study consumer behaviour and carry out consumers tests in Finland and in some Baltic Sea countries
  • Explore the feasibility and opportunities to export the new ‘free from’ products
